For families building a new life abroad

Find your village in Spain

They say it takes a village to raise a child. When you move abroad, the family, friends and familiar faces you would normally lean on are no longer just around the corner. My Village Spain helps expat families start again gently, with new friends, new routines, new places, and people you can turn to.

How it works

From new arrival to familiar faces

Answer a few simple questions and we'll help you find the kind of support most families miss after a move: nearby parents, playgroups, useful local tips, child-friendly places and trusted services.

01
Tell us where you are in family life

Your area, languages, children's ages and what kind of support would help right now.

02
Find your family circle

We suggest small parent circles based on location, life stage and what you are looking for.

03
Discover trusted local help

Find child-friendly places, useful services and recommendations that make everyday life easier.

Your village can include

Trusted local services

The dentist, tutor, cleaner, babysitter or gestor someone else was relieved to find.

Practical local knowledge

Family circles

Small groups of parents, not big crowds

A note from the founder

A village I wished I had when we arrived

I am Malou, a Swedish mother of four living in Spain. I built My Village Spain because family life abroad can be beautiful, but it can also feel lonely and confusing when you do not know where to start.

This is for the parents trying to find friends, schools, activities, help at home, a good birthday cake, a trusted dentist, or just someone nearby who understands what it feels like to start over in a new country.

Starting on the Costa del Sol

Built first for families on the Costa del Sol

We are starting with the places many expat families call home: Málaga, Nerja, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, La Cala, Marbella, San Pedro, Estepona, Manilva and Sotogrande. If you are raising children anywhere along this stretch of coast, this village is being built for you.

And for families staying longer, finding your village also means finding your place in Spanish language, culture and everyday life.

Language and Culture Circles

Build a village that belongs here too

Finding other expat parents can be a lifeline when you first arrive. But if Spain is becoming home, your village should also help you connect with Spanish families, practise the language and understand the culture around you.

My Village Spain welcomes both expat and Spanish families who want to meet, share, learn and help children grow up with real friendships across cultures.

Start with support. Grow into belonging.

Language and Culture Circle matches are reviewed first, so families can connect in a thoughtful and respectful way.

Do you help families feel more at home?

We are adding a small number of family-friendly local businesses, services and places that genuinely help expat families on the Costa del Sol.

Apply as a business

Paid listings, sponsored placements and collaborations are always clearly labelled. Families stay in control, and businesses never receive family email addresses.

Stay in touch

A quiet, occasional email

We will write when new circles open or when we add something useful for families in Spain. Nothing more.

No public profiles. We never share your details without your permission.
